Hello Everyone!
I want to first thank Joli for the opportunity to join arms in this incredible group of brave but bereaved families that are coming forward. This will be a wonderful way to bring awareness and unity to so many hurting hearts.
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and what I do. I am Avery’s Mother. He was born on June 17, 2016 at 20 weeks and 4 days gestation. I was diagnosed with an incompetent cervix, which means that my body would not carry the weight of my sweet boy, I dialated and my water broke early. One day I will share his story with you all.
Shattered from my loss and the experience, I reached out any way I could. I posted my raw emotions anywhere people would listen. It wasn’t until October of 2016 that I found my tribe. My Angel Mom community that reached out to offer so much love and support.
In December, as a thank you, I began a project I called Avery’s Garden Reclaimed Memories Project. I made over 125 ornaments for moms that included information about each angel.
I loved getting to know so many beautiful souls that I felt like it couldn’t end there. I began Avery’s Garden Grief Journal which is a page dedicated to an angel within the jounal. Each page tells a story and they are all very unique. I took it one step further in March 2017 when I published my first angel inspired coloring book. The second book is being worked on as we speak to feature the lives and memories of even more beautiful babies.
I love gardening and just about finished Avery’s outdoor garden this weekend. It looks gorgeous and I can’t wait to see it grow.
In closing, if you are reading this, you are not alone. We extend our hearts to yours and thank you so much for joining these courageous mothers.
